Today’s question is something that keeps coming up in my life lately: What was the turning point in your life where you started to feel old?
Mine was in my mid-20s, when cashiers and clerks stopped calling me “miss” and started calling me “ma’am”. Of course if the question doesn’t apply to you, you can simply comment “I don’t feel old.” š
**The Question of the Day is also a contest! When you answer, you are entered to win in the weekly draw for a $5 Blushing Violet gift certificate. You can enter once per question. Draw takes place each Monday.
Also, this week, get 1 extra entry when you answer here on the blog!

I’ve always looked old for my age. When I was 14 I had people trying to set me up with my ‘peers’- 22 year olds… THerefore, honestly, I’ve always felt old… Haha
Oops, should have commented here. Not that I expect to be in the draw.
See for me feeling old came about towards my end of my 34th year on this planet and the start of my 35th year. I had to have a radical hysterectomy due to tumors and cysts in both my uterus and ovaries. Having this surgery really hit home with the emotions because now I can no longer bear children (which makes me feel old in itself because I always wanted more than one) and two, you usually hear of much older women needing the surgery. Now that I am nearing my 36th year on the planet, I am realizing the many benefits that the surgery brought me, like the big one, saving a ton of money on pads and tampons and I can wear white without the worries!
hmmm, i think turning 50 was a real eye opener on how old i was and how “society” looks at the half century mark. not sad about it, just seeing how many moons i have behind me and looking toward the many moons yet to come š

When I turned 25, I had just had my first child. I realized I was a quarter of a century old!!!
